Integrations

Built to complement, not replace.

CAUTtools is designed to complement your existing tools, not replace them.

Business systems

Working alongside Gazelle

CAUTtools is not a Gazelle partner, product, or integration. We are exploring technical compatibility. Nothing described in this section exists yet.

Gazelle is the business-management system piano technicians use for customers, scheduling, estimates, invoicing, payments, and service transactions.

CAUTtools is the institutional program layer: detailed fleet inventory, CAUT workload analysis, condition reporting, climate programs, valuation, and long-term planning.

They serve different purposes. They can work together.

Workflow

How it would work

Proposed design. Not built, not available today.

Service work would enter once, and be used twice.

  1. A technician logs a tuning in Gazelle (business transaction: what to bill, what to invoice, when).
  2. That completed work would sync to CAUTtools (institutional record: what was done, when, to which instrument, by whom).
  3. Gazelle knows the customer and the transaction. CAUTtools knows the institution and the program.

What it would give technicians

  • Keep your existing business workflow in Gazelle
  • Add institutional analysis and customer reporting in CAUTtools
  • No double-entry of completed work

What it would give institutions

  • Your technician's business system stays separate and secure
  • You get the institutional records and analysis you need
  • No disruption to their workflow or billing
Status

Where this stands today

We're in early-stage exploratory discussions with Gazelle about integration possibilities. This is not an existing partnership or endorsement. It's a conversation about whether complementary products can work together.

We are not

  • An official Gazelle integration
  • Endorsed by Gazelle
  • A Gazelle product
  • A Gazelle partner

We are

  • Exploring technical compatibility
  • Proposing a referral relationship
  • Open to a limited pilot with interested users
  • Committed to clear boundaries if integration moves forward

Gazelle is a product of its respective owner. CAUTtools is an independent product and makes no claim of affiliation, endorsement, partnership, or official integration status with Gazelle. Everything above describes exploratory conversations only, and may not result in any integration at all.

Other integrations

Calendar systems & data portability

Calendar systems

Room and performance schedules can import from:

  • Outlook
  • Google Calendar
  • Institutional calendar systems (via ICS feed where available)

This prevents tuning from being booked against rehearsals and ensures performance instruments get day-of attention.

Data portability

Your data is yours. Standard exports include:

  • Instrument inventory (spreadsheet or database format)
  • Service history and ticket records
  • Reports (PDF or Excel)

If you leave CAUTtools, you take your data with you.

Partners

For business-system partners

If you build or represent a business-management, scheduling, or CRM system used by piano technicians, we're interested in discussing integration.

Our model:

  • Initial compatibility: CSV import/export
  • User-authorized, read-only synchronization
  • Clearly defined boundaries (which system owns which data)
  • Revenue-positive partnership structure (referral, connected-account fee, or integration fee)
